In der Zeitschrift "Scandinavian Public Library Quarterly", Ausgabe 40 (2007) 4, berichtet Eli Søyland unter dem Titel "Rock festival librarians" über ein Experiment der norwegischen Arendal Library: Die BibliothekarInnen betrieben auf einem Rockfestival einen Informationsstand, wo u.a. Comics, Musikbücher, aktuelle Tageszeitungen und die Festivalzeitung bereitgestellt, Lyrik vorgelesen, diverse Fragen beantwortet und auch Handyladegeräte zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Resümee: "The young people at the Hove Festival seemed to find the library a cool place to visit and we received many positive reactions to our being there. Nobody before had come across a library at a rock festival. Our central position in the festival village was a great advantage, making us easy to spot from a distance and a popular meeting-place.".
