Maureen Shields: Due to Morrow

I devour books featuring librarians, so "Due To Morrow" (no typo) by Maureen Shields was a must-read. First-person narrator is the public librarian Jessa who is surrounded by her two very different best friends, her former high-school crush, a jerk boss, strange patrons, and quite weird doomsday preppers. The characters are finely developed, and the story has a lot of humour. Jessas job is descripted in a realistic way. The issue of Asperger syndrome is mentioned marginally. I'm looking forward to new volumes - I really want to know how the relationships develop!
