Bibliothek(arInn)en in der Belletristik:
  • "Rex Libris", ein Comic von James Turner, "a playful exploration of classic literature told through the adventures of a librarian charged with traveling across both space and time to retrieve unreturned library books", wird im August erscheinen. Hinweis aus Catalogablog. Interview und Auszüge bei comicreaders.com.
  • "The cerebral library", eine SF-Geschichte von David H. Keller, einem amerikanischen Psychiater, erschienen in Amazing Stories May 1931. Details im Artikel "Libraries in Science Fiction" von James Gunn. Zitat: "Readers are assembled to read a book a day; after five years they are killed and their brains are put in a jar to provide instant access to everything they have read. The librarians of that era had to cope with more serious problems than theft, vandalism, inadequate budgets, and low pay".
