The Information Ethics Roundtable 2006 will be held on March 22nd in Portland, Oregon. The roundtable brings together researchers from several different disciplines (philosophy, information science, communications, public administration, anthropology, law, etc.) to discuss the ethical issues surrounding access to information, information privacy, intellectual property, intellectual freedom, and censorship. The main topic of the 2006 roundtable will be the ethics of Secrecy as used by governments, businesses, scientists, and individuals. The keynote speaker will be Alasdair S. Roberts of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. Quelle: icie.
