Avoid working with the public

Einer der lustigeren bibliothekarischen Posts in letzter Zeit - die annoyed librarian stellte unter dem Titel "Annoyed Librarian's Guide to Public Service" fest: "Obviously the goal of any public service librarian is to avoid working with the public. The public is annoying. We all know this to be true, no matter how we try to sugarcoat our feelings by pretending we really want to serve. We don't want to serve. We want to get paid and go home.
