Alle oder keiner

"King George V once described the public library system as a national university that all may attend and none need ever leave. A notable comment this, just the kind of thing chief librarians like to quote in their annual reports. (...) By contrast, people can and do live the whole of their lives without seeing the inside of a public library, a museum or an art gallery; librarians always have to remember that the public library is an institution that none need ever attend and all may leave alone".
